Seems that Maui Slam is getting better. This one was not attended in full fledge loyalty. Yet it was full of quality. I like to see these events happen. This is great way for $5 therapy and fun. If you can't afford a doctor you can at least get some words off your chest.

My Photo in a News Story

Hawaiian Superferry
I love taking photos and living on the island of Maui makes for beautiful and easy subject matter and a lot of fun. Recently I have had two offers to use my photo this one in a news story and another in a child's book. I love art, music and photography.

Hui No'eau Visual Arts

We had a little urban blip happen last night at the Hui. Being a musician and a well seasoned city dweller I found the show average, yet the kids, the young ones were havening fun with their creative out put. I have some photos I'll put up later. Nice show, welcome to the city. Nice to see interactions with the youth of Maui.

Vampire Insect

I got woken up last night by a sharp pain. 3:33 am I flat lined bite to my side and I felt a pinch. I knew what it was. Yet I have never received one. I was bitten by a Centipede. The Pede crawled up my leg and bit right through my underwear. I went to the bathroom and washed, alcohol and cleaned the bite. There it was two thin fang marks. I went back to the bed looked for the bug, the insect that woke me from my nightly slumber. I tore the bed apart I couldn't find the Centipede. Tore the blanket, pillows and the sheets form the bed. Scissors in one hand and a bug swatter in the other. Still no Vampire insect. I pulled the mattress up and nowhere was that bug. Damn the pede got away. I couldn't go back to sleep. I did the swelling watch as my hp turned red to pink to black and blue. I later went to another bed and had nightmares about women and past friends. Like the insect was a disease of pain and loss. This morning I woke up early. My mind was fuzzy, my head is achy and my hip hurts like hell. Gee living in paradise little creators like these can make for a night from hell.

centipede bites tonight

centipede
I just got bit
like a tip
Then a slit
in my bed came crawling
stalling all legs
the creator god made ate me
at the hip it bit
swelling like a sting
the searching ring
the fire in my sleep
the insect that creeps.
I couldn't find it in the dark
stark the sharp lark of creators bites
Know now it is night
darkness seeks
the flesh is meat
why me
why now
Damn the pain

Whole Foods plans Kailua, Kahului stores

SIGHTS ON MAUI

In addition to the Kailua store, Whole Foods yesterday said it was opening a 26,300-square-foot Kahului store at the current Star Market location at the Maui Mall in late 2008 or early 2009.

In early 2008, Whole Foods expects to open its first Hawai'i location in the former Star Market space at Kahala Mall.

A fourth Whole Foods store is expected to be the anchor tenant at the $100 million-plus redevelopment of Ward Village Shops. The Ward store will be a 67,000-square-foot market that initially was projected to open next year, though repeated construction delays related to discovery of old Hawaiian remains have set back plans.
